Nearly every family has this one member that creates psychological challenges for the rest of the family members.
In this video I share how when Ron's phone rings and he sees it's his brother's name, his whole body tightens up, he feels angry and mad, and he feels this raw sensation in his stomach.
This is not because he is weak, unforgiving, or lacking confidence.
It is because of older patterns of his boundaries being broken in small ways but consistently.
Ron broke the cycle of old patterns and installed upgraded ones by doing the following:
Take a slow deep breath and listen to your heartbeat.
Recall the first memory where you felt these emotions.
Begin to reparent this younger version of you by validating the emotional experience, as well as restoring your self-image.
Validation statements examples:
You are not alone / It's going to be okay / It's okay to be scared / It's okay to be mad.
Self-image restoration statements examples:
You are not to blame / It's not personal / It's not your responsibility to fix / You are okay.
