If you find yourself holding a lot of tension in your jaw or your tongue throughout the day or when you're sleeping, this is a sign of suppressed emotions that need to be processed - rage, frustration, and fear that need to get out in a healthy way.
You may have band-aid remedies that alleviate the symptoms, but it did not last because you did not get to the root cause.
You see, we have a nervous system that controls our heartbeat, breathing, and all unintentional movements - the way I'm moving my fingers typing this email right now.
When the nervous system experiences danger, real or perceived, it creates tightness as a coping mechanism (aka holding patterns).
Simple solution:
Go into a deep state to communicate safety to your nervous system... yes.
Step 1: Take 3 slow and deep breaths to go into alpha-state brain waves.Step 2: Visualize the tension and be present. No resisting, no fighting, no running away... just be present.Step 3: Reparent that tension with kindness. Ask it what it needs in several different ways.Step 4: Check if the tension reduced, increased, or remained the same, and message me ; )
